What we do

Seven things we build, and one way of building them

ZMEEVA is a software development and digital design company based in Poland. We create custom web applications, e-commerce platforms, digital archives, publishing systems and business tools tailored to our clients' requirements — the complete process, from planning and interface design to implementation, integration and ongoing technical support.

01

Custom Software

Development of custom business applications and internal systems — built around the way your organisation already works, rather than forcing the process to fit a product someone else designed.

02

Web Applications

Modern web platforms adapted to specific business processes: customer portals, booking and scheduling tools, dashboards and multi-role back offices that stay usable as the data grows.

03

E-commerce

Custom online stores and the plumbing behind them — catalogue and stock handling, checkout, payment and delivery integrations, and the connections to whatever system holds your orders.

04

Digital Archives & Publishing

Platforms for digital collections, catalogues, archives and online publications: real metadata, search that copes with scanned material, editorial workflow, and permanent links that keep working.

UI/UX Design

Interface and product design for web and digital applications — flows first, then screens, then a small design system, delivered as something a developer can build from without guessing.

Integrations

APIs, third-party systems, databases and business automation. The interesting part is never the happy path — it is retries, reconciliation and knowing when a synchronisation has quietly stopped.

Support & Maintenance

Updates, maintenance and ongoing technical support: dependency and security updates, monitoring, verified backups and a predictable pool of hours for the small changes that always come up.

How we work

Six stages, and you see the work at every one

Nothing here is unusual. What matters is that the scope is written down before development starts, and that you are never asked to approve something you have not already seen running.

  1. Discovery

We go through the requirements and the business processes behind them, including the exceptions people forget to mention.

  2. Planning

Functionality, scope and budget are written down and agreed before anyone opens an editor.

  3. Design

Product structure and interface, reviewed with you while changes are still cheap to make.

  4. Development

The solution is built and tested in short, reviewable increments — not revealed at the end.

  5. Launch

The completed product is deployed to your environment, with the deployment process documented.

  6. Support

Maintenance, monitoring and future improvements, at whatever level of involvement you need.

Fixed-scope packages

Some work does not need a quote

Recurring pieces of work are sold at a fixed price with a fixed scope, so you can start without a procurement cycle. Larger or non-standard projects are quoted individually — those start with a discovery session. All prices include VAT.

Technology & practice

What we connect to, and how we hand it over

Most of the difficulty in business software is not the screen — it is everything the screen has to agree with. These are the areas we work in and the practices we apply to all of them.

Systems we integrate

  • ERP and warehouse systems
  • Accounting and invoicing
  • CRM and marketing tools
  • Payment and delivery providers
  • Public administration e-services

Data work

  • Migration from legacy systems
  • Bulk import and cleanup
  • Deduplication and reconciliation
  • Reporting and exports
  • Retention and deletion rules

How we deliver

  • Version control and code review
  • Automated tests on critical paths
  • Separate staging environment
  • Documented deployments
  • Source code handed to the client

Standards we build to

  • WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility
  • GDPR / RODO data handling
  • REST APIs and webhooks
  • OAI-PMH metadata exchange
  • Structured data for search engines

Who this is for

Organisations with a process, not a product idea

We work business to business. The projects that go well tend to come from organisations that already know their own process well enough to describe its exceptions.

Online retail
Stores that have outgrown the standard plugin and now need their catalogue, stock and orders to agree with the systems behind them.
Publishers & cultural institutions
Collections, catalogues and periodicals that need to be searchable, citable and maintainable by non-technical editors.
Small and mid-sized companies
Internal processes currently held together by spreadsheets, shared mailboxes and one person who remembers how it works.
Service businesses
Client-facing portals, scheduling and document exchange, where the alternative is email attachments.

Starting a project

What happens after you write to us

ZMEEVA combines software engineering, digital design and technology consulting to create practical digital products for businesses and organizations. Here is how an engagement actually begins — no discovery call that turns out to be a sales call.

1 · You describe the process

Send the brief through the contact form or by email. The useful version explains who uses the software, what it has to connect to, and where the current process hurts.

2 · We reply within a working day

With first questions and an honest signal: whether this is something we build well, and roughly what size of engagement it looks like.

3 · Scope before code

A discovery session turns the brief into a written scope with phases and effort ranges. Its fee comes off the first invoice if you continue.

4 · Fixed price, or no project

You get a price against that written scope. If we think an off-the-shelf product would serve you better, we say so instead of quoting.

Tell us what the software has to do

Describe the process, the people who use it and what it has to connect to. We will come back with an approach, a scope and a price — or tell you plainly if we are the wrong company for it.
